Autumn term key dates for your diary

Dear all,

We hope you are enjoying the sunshine and having a well-earned rest over the summer break.

Thanks again to Tom Mason, for stepping in last-minute as conductor for our 50th Anniversary concert at Prescot Parish Church, the programme was well received by our audience, and we had a good turn out. Thanks also to the committee for organising the display of the orchestra through the years. How young some of us were!

It has been proposed that we start off the Autumn term with our usual get together at the Toby Carvery on Aigburth Road, Liverpool, on 15 September. Please do let Guy know if you are able to make it.

Rehearsals will start back at the Synagogue on 22 September. Please spread the word among your sections and encourage everyone to return for the first rehearsal, so that we have a great sound.

As usual, we have vacancies for strings in general, especially double basses, trombone, and horn. Please share our Facebook page and our website to fellow musicians that may be interested in joining us.

If there is any particular music you would like to see this term, please let us know.

Enjoy the last few weeks of summer, and we’ll see you soon!

Rob, Laura and the SLO committee
